THREE KIDS TAKE HOME 2007 CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES, CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT AT AMR SUNDAY SEPT. 2

Enduro, Demo & Street Stock Special Monday Sept 3

(Kane, PA), Sept 2, 2007 marked the first ever Championship Evening at Allegheny Mountain Raceway where three kids under 16 took home the 2007 Championship titles. In the fifteen lap Hometown Country 103.9fm-WLMI Charger Division End of Season Championship Race fifteen year old Dustin Bowen (Kane, PA) got an early lead over seventeen year old Sean Carlson (James City, PA) and was able to keep the lead after a caution on lap eleven to give him his sixth feature win of the season and enough points to win the 2007 points championship. Carlson would be second, followed by Dan Ott (Kane, PA), Joe Emmert (Weedville, PA) and Damien Bidwell (Eldred, PA) rounding out the top five. Bowen also received awards for winning the 2007 Spauldings Garage Hardcharger of the Year & 2007 Battery Wharehouse and Burritts Appliance Favorite Driver.
The 20 lap Zook Motor Inc. Pure Stock Division End of Season Championship Race saw fourteen year old Mark Schweikart (Emporium, PA) and fifteen year old Brad Curran, Jr. (Port Allegany, PA) start the race only to have a caution come out for Schweikart, he would have to start in the back and work his way back to the front, by the end of the race he would finsh sixth leaving Schweikart and Curran tied for the 2007 Point Championship. Derrick Schloder (St Marys, PA), Josh Keith (Kane, PA), Dennis Olson (Kane, PA) and Francis Gustafson (Weedville, PA) would round out the top five. Kane PA's Ben Asel received the award for the 2007 Spauldings Garage Hardcharger of the Year and Dennis Olson received the award for the 2007 Battery Wharehouse and Burritts Appliance Favorite Driver.
The Dyne Excavating LLC Mini Stock Division End of Season Championship Race was next out on the track for their 20 lap feature. Bill McKinney would charge up to the front to take the win with Chris Paar (Mt Jewett, PA) taking second, Joe Boylan (Mt Jeweet, PA) third, Justin Yohe (Bradford, PA), last years point champ in the charger division, fourth, and Henry Himes (Brockway, PA) fifth. Paar finished eleven spots before point leader Bobby Carlson (James City, PA) but Carlson had a big enough point lead to become the 2007 Point Champion. Carlson also received the award for 2007 Spauldings Garage Hardcharger of the Year, while Paar received the award for the 2007 Battery Wharehouse & Burritts Appliance Favoite Driver.
The last End of Season Championship Race of the evening was the Hometown Country 103.9fm-WLMI Street Stock 20 lap race. Point leader Matt Palmer (Rixford, PA) and Matt Olson (Kane, PA) would lead the pack to the green. Palmer would take the lead early and hold off the challenges of Olson and Craig Rex (Kane, PA) to take the win and become the 2007 Point Champion. Rex would finish second, Olson third, Jason Dobson (Ceres, NY) fourth and Joe Layfield (Bolivar, NY) fifth. Mike Asel (Kane, PA) would receive the 2007 Spauldings Garage Hardcharger of the Year and Layfield received the 2007 Battery Wharehouse and Burritts Appliance Favorite Driver award.
The 2007 Womens races were won by Alissa Crum~charger, Wendy Silvis~Mini, Tiffany Haun~Pure and Casey Raught~street.
Monday Sept 3 wasThe Autumn Blast 100 Enduro, sponcered by Jimmys Repair Service out of Warren, PA, Demo and Street Stock Special. In the 100 lap $500 to win Enduro Dan Colwell (Knox, PA) would win followed by Walt Miller (), Jeff Buhl (Kane, PA), Al Myers () and Jim Haun (Warren, PA). Demo winner was David Baker () and the $500 to win Hometown Country 103.9fm-WLMI Street Stock Special was won by Craig Rex (Kane, PA).
