ASEL, BOWEN, ASEL & ULLMAN SCORE WINS AT AMR
(KANE, PA) The first feature of the night was the Hometown Country 103.9fm-WLMI Street Stocks, Matt Olson (Kane, PA) and Joe Layfield (Bolivar, NY) would set the pace for the 20 lap feature. By lap two hard charging Mike Asel (Kane, PA) would take over the lead from his eighth place starting spot. Asel would lead to the finish with Layfield, John Williams (Ischua, NY), Craig Rex (Kane, PA) and Eldred PAs Brad Bigley rounding out the top five. Heats were won by Tim Burkett (Gifford, PA) and Olson.
Next out was the Hometown Country 103.9fm-WLMI 4cyl. Chargers taking to the track for their 20 lap charger special. Jon Mong (Knox, PA) would take the lead away from Dustin Bowen (Kane, PA) early in the race. Bowen would regain the lead on lap 11 and hold onto it to win his second feature of the year. Sean Carlson (James City, PA) would be second, Zach Gustafson (Weedville, PA) third, Del Cleer (Kane, PA) fourth and Brian Fabiano (Ridgway, PA) fifth. Heat winners were Mong and Chuck Himes (Brockway, PA).
The Zook Motor Inc. Pure Stocks would come out on the track next for their 20 lap feature. Ben Asel (Kane, PA) would lead from start to finish, with Mike Stefano (St Marys, PA) second, Dennis Olson (Kane, PA) third, Keith Hartley (Russell, PA) fourth and Jack Hepler, Jr. finishing fifth. Heat wins went to Asel and Brad Curran, Jr. (Port Allegany, PA).
The Last feature of the evening was the Dyne Excavating LLC Mini Stock 20 lap feature. Jeff Buhl (Kane, PA) would take the lead and lead until strong running Brad Ullman (Allegany, NY) would make his way to the front from his eighth place starting position on lap 11 and lead to the finish. Richard Kline (Bolivar, NY), Steve Dodge (Kane, PA), Buhl and Bobby Carlson (James City, PA) rounded out the top five. Heat winners were Ullman and Kline.
This Sunday, June 24, at Allegheny Mountain Raceway will be the Zook Motor Inc. Pure Stock special + Mini stock, Street stock and 4cyl. Chargers along with the E-mods making another appearance. Gates open at 3 racing at 5.
