Allegheny Mountain Raceway Results for 5-4-08
Mother Nature put a damper on all the area tracks racing action, but Allegheny Mountain Raceway was able to get their racing card in with 57 cars pulling into the pits.

First out on the track was the Zook Motor Inc. Mini Stocks for their 20 lap feature. Pole sitters Steve Mowery (Olean, Ny) and Joe Boylan (Mt. Jewett, PA) battled for first place, but by lap 2 Knox, PAs Kyle Colwell managed to charge his way to the front from his sixth place starting spot and take over the lead. He would lead from then on to get his second win of the season. Not far behind Kyle, his cousin Jamie Colwell (Knox, PA) was putting the preasure on Mowery for the second spot and by lap 13 would enter the second spot to place second, Mowery would be third with Boylan fourth and Opie Goodell (Olean, Ny) placing fifth. Heat Winners were O. Goodell & Cody Colwell (Shippenville, PA).

Next out for their 15 lap feature was the Hometown Country 103.9fm-WLMI Chargers. Bradford, PAs Blane Krott would come from the middle of the field to take first place from Zach Gustafson (Weedville, PA) to pick up his second win of the season, but would be DQ'd in tech giving Gustafson the win. Brandon Blauser (Westline, PA), Dan Ott (Kane, PA), Josh Torrence (Portville, Ny) and Chris Gray (Weedville, PA) rounded out the top five. Heat Winners were Torrence and Gustafson.

The Dyne Excavating LLC Pure Stocks would be the third to take to the track for their 20 lap feature. Rookie Andy Morris (Kane, PA) would take the lead early in the race and lead til' misfortune would leave him with a flat and he would have to enter the pits leaving Brent Harris (Bradford, PA) with the lead. Harris would lead to the finish and score his first win of the season. Gary Hepler (Kersey, PA), Steve Goodrow (Johnsonburg, PA), Pat Schauer (Kersey, PA) and Fran Gustafson (Weedville, PA) rounded out the top five. Heat Winners were Goodrow and Hepler.

The Hometown Country 103.9fm-WLMI Street Stocks were next out on the track Ed Coast (Duke Center, PA) and Chris Austin (Knapp Creek, NY) would set the pace for this 20 lap event. Coast would get the lead early and by lap 11 Austin would take the lead and lead to score his first win of the season. Matt Palmer (Rixford, PA) would be second, Adam Sixt (Sardinia, NY) third, Bruno Mowery (Olean, NY) fourth and Jeff Hellwig fifth. Heat Winners were Rex and Palmer

Micro Sprints took to the track last for their 15 lap feature. Doug Karlene (Kane, PA) would win followed by Brandon Custin (Eldred, PA), Jessica McDivitt (Kane, PA) and Chris Stanko (Kane, PA).
